About the position
As a Corporate Development Specialist (CDS) at Rust-Oleum, you will play a crucial role in representing our brand within the Northern Indiana and south Chicago area, specifically managing over 25 Menards stores. This position is ideal for a recent college graduate with retail experience who is eager to embark on a career with significant growth potential. You will be the go-to expert for Rust-Oleum products, responsible for building strong relationships with store associates and providing them with the knowledge they need to effectively sell our products. Your daily activities will involve traveling within your designated territory, engaging with retail partners, and ensuring that they have the necessary support and information about our extensive range of protective paints and coatings. In this role, you will be expected to manage your time efficiently, visiting Menards stores to train associates on both new and existing products. You will also be responsible for maintaining merchandising displays and ensuring that products are shelved according to the provided planograms. Building trust and rapport with store associates is essential, as they will rely on you for product knowledge and support. Your enthusiasm and energy will be key in keeping product demonstrations engaging and informative, helping to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Manage time effectively to visit Menards stores in the region.
- Train Menards associates on new and current Rust-Oleum products.
- Maintain and repair merchandising displays according to planograms.
- Build relationships with store associates and answer product questions.
- Engage in considerable physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting products.
Requirements
- 1-4 years of experience in retail merchandising, product promotions, or product demonstration.
- Professional demeanor and articulate communication skills.
- Ability to connect quickly with a wide variety of people.
- Enthusiastic and energetic personality.
- Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently without immediate supervision.
- Good energy level, patience, and adaptability to changing circumstances.
