About the position

Twenty Four Seven Hotels is excited to be in search of a Corporate Director of Finance. This position will administer all financial operations of hotels, including Asset Protection, Reporting, Systems Management, Budgeting, Forecasting, Audits, and Compliance. Responsibilities

  • Directs and administers all financial operations of the hotels, including asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, budget, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Provides effective leadership to ensure complete accountability for financial and overall Accounting Department performance.
  • Has final oversight of Cash Management for the portfolio.
  • Ensures the monthly financial statements, monthly forecasts, balance sheet, statement of cash flow, and other mandated reports are executed in a consistent and timely manner according to Company Policies and Procedures, GAAP, and the Uniform System of Accounts.
  • Analyzes and interprets financial results for improved profitability with Regional Managers.
  • Conducts month-end P&L reviews for accountability, accuracy, and discrepancies with GM's, as required.
  • Works with the operations team to achieve hotels' goals of flawless care of the customer, delivering on the brand promise, and ensuring financial responsibility.
  • Ensures compliance regarding all financial practices and regulations.
  • Oversees and manages hotel's capital expense budgets and reconciles expenditures and escrow accounts.
  • Partners with Regional Operational Managers to prepare assumptions and goals for controllable expenses, labor expenses by position, and all revenue departments for the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Prepares Capital Expense budget for the following year as well as a five-year capital plan.
  • Partners with GM and operations to forecast acceptable profit and flow through by the 25th of the month for Monthly GOP Forecasting.
  • Visits properties at least semi-annually based on the accounting needs of the hotel.
  • Works with VP of Finance in establishing and executing department's OKRs (Objectives & Key Results).
  • Develops key financial models and monitors hotels' Reserve accounts as it relates to reconciling actual payout to what is 'pulled' by Servicer.
  • Monitors and develops team member performance, including providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
  • Recruits, interviews, and trains accounting team members.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience managing a multi-state hotel portfolio.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing a staff of finance managers and support staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 4 Year college degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player and highly organized.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with internal customers in the field and at the Corporate Office.
