About the position

Xanterra Travel Collection is seeking a proactive and versatile Corporate Engineering & Construction Manager to oversee select construction projects, manage operational transitions for existing properties and future acquisitions, and ensure compliance with maintenance strategies across all park properties and affiliates. This role is pivotal in aligning construction efforts with corporate sustainability goals and enhancing operational efficiency through effective project management and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee select capital improvements including design partner selection, design development, and comprehensive budget and timeline management of construction projects.
  • Create budgets, gather quotes, and estimates to fit project needs.
  • Produce new business, strategic presentations, and NPS presentations.
  • Cultivate resource partners in design and construction, maintaining relationships to ensure best pricing.
  • Manage outside design consultants, fabricators, and installers.
  • Manage timeline, project status reports, and budget elements associated with corporate capital execution.
  • Lead the Engineering group in identifying resources and idea generation to align with sustainability goals.
  • Implement project plans and provide support to properties in design and construction management as needed.
  • Prepare RFPs, review bids, and assist properties with contractor or designer selection.
  • Develop and oversee transition from project completion to property level responsibility.
  • Review as-constructed documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure contractors provide Operational Manuals and training to on-site staff.
  • Develop maintenance plans inclusive of preventative, proactive, and reactive maintenance obligations.
  • Assist the Director of Project Management with project scope submissions for concession bids and potential acquisitions.
  • Develop Corporate-directed SOPs for Preventive Maintenance programs at all properties and implement training.
  • Conduct inspections and review maintenance plans to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Assist properties as the subject matter expert on CMMS and maintain consistent asset management company-wide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management or Construction Management preferred.
  • 7+ years of previous experience in project management and/or construction administration.
  • Familiarity with hospitality, campus-based, or hospital operations preferred.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to support multiple assignments and shift priorities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform complex work.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft products, CMMS, and various project management applications such as Smartsheet, Bluebeam, and PlanGrid.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hospitality or campus-based operations.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
