Responsibilities
- Track EU, federal and provincial regulatory developments and provide technical/regulatory support to operations in Canada and France to ensure regulatory changes are fully implemented.
- Lead strategic environmental permitting projects for company operations.
- Engage in project teams to support environmental engineering and performance improvement projects.
- Leverage company membership in NCASI and other industry associations and coalitions to monitor technological developments and emerging environmental and regulatory issues that could impact company operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred) or Environmental Sciences.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in environmental management, preferably in pulp and paper industry to include work with regulators.
- Bilingual French and English preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Federal and provincial (Quebec) environmental regulations.
- Experience managing biological wastewater treatment systems STRONGLY preferred.
- Flexible work location (US or Canada).
