About the position

The TransUnion Event Marketing team builds and manages live and virtual experiences that positively showcase our brand, drive growth, and optimize return on investment. We create opportunities to foster customer relationships and acquire new leads. We leverage data to highlight the impact and value of events to make smarter decisions on event investments, and we drive operational efficiency and consistency with end-to-end event execution. The Corporate Event Planner, Financial Services Events, supports business stakeholders in the management and execution of advisory board meetings, proprietary forums, and third-party tradeshows. This role is responsible for managing all logistics, production, and budget management of these events. This role reports to the Sr. Lead, Event Marketing, and works alongside a team of event marketers who deliver event experiences that positively impact our brand and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all logistics, production, and budget management of events.
  • Build and manage end-to-end event execution, including venue sourcing, contracting, event logistics, event production, attendee communications, registration/housing management, giveaways, and signage.
  • Be the strategic event expert and trusted partner to business stakeholders by recommending improvements to previous events and implementing industry best practices.
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders, setting clear expectations, and driving for alignment on event strategy and delivery.
  • Plan, forecast, and manage against a defined event budget, partnering with finance and line of business stakeholders on budget reporting and reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience executing events, including both proprietary and third-party events.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams and managing agencies/vendors.
  • Understanding of event technologies, such as registration, mobile apps, and other event platforms or technologies (Cvent is a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, problem solve, manage multiple projects/events at one time, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong people skills, willingness to accept and provide direction, ability to work independently while remaining a team player.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
