About the position

Lyra Health is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Director of FP&A. This full-time position can be based at our headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area (Burlingame, California) or can be performed remotely. The Financial Manager will play a crucial role in revenue budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, while also providing support to the Go-To-Market (GTM) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining trusted business partnerships across various functions within the organization to facilitate effective budget management and informed decision-making processes. In this role, you will design, build, and automate financial reports and models aimed at driving efficiencies and improvements by streamlining, standardizing, and automating processes. You will support the financial planning process, contributing to the development of the annual operating plan, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts. A key responsibility will be maintaining a 12-18 month revenue and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) forecast, updating the model weekly or monthly to track performance against forecasts, explaining variances, and incorporating trends. Additionally, you will develop a weekly and monthly reporting package to enhance our understanding of key drivers, collaborating with the BizOps team to automate reporting. You will work closely with the GTM team to update new bookings forecasts and integrate them into the revenue model, as well as with the Accounting team to ensure that revenue and COGS actuals align with the model. Following best modeling practices to enhance usability and minimize errors is essential. You will also assist other finance team members on GTM-focused projects, including pricing strategies, forecasting new lines of business, and long-range planning (LRP). Furthermore, you will prepare financial presentations for the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and management, and support international revenue and COGS modeling and variance analysis. Leading customer revenue trend analysis, including retention and churn analysis, will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted business partnerships with functions across the organization to support budget management and decision-making processes.
  • Design, build and automate financial reports and models to drive efficiencies and improvement by streamlining, standardizing and automating processes.
  • Support financial planning process to help develop annual operating plan, annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Maintain 12-18 month revenue / COGS forecast.
  • Update model weekly / monthly to understand how our forecast is tracking versus our forecast; explain variances and incorporate trends.
  • Develop weekly / monthly reporting package to help us better understand drivers; work with BizOps team to automate reporting.
  • Work with GTM team to update new bookings forecast and incorporate into revenue model.
  • Work with Accounting team to ensure that revenue / COGS actuals align with the model.
  • Follow best modeling practices to increase usability and reduce errors.
  • Assist other members of the finance team on GTM focused projects or anything focused on revenue / COGS, like pricing, forecasting new lines of business or the LRP.
  • Assist in preparing the Board of Directors, Audit Committee and management financial presentations.
  • Build and support international revenue and COGS modeling and variance analysis.
  • Partner with BizOps to develop and improve customer demand forecast.
  • Lead customer revenue trend analysis, including customer revenue retention and churn analysis.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of financial modeling experience, ideally complex revenue and COGS models.
  • 2+ years minimum revenue model experience.
  • FP&A experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments is preferred but not required.
  • CFA (or progress towards CFA) a plus.
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and Powerpoint/Google Slides.
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, Netsuite and Adaptive preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience working in healthcare or retail industry highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical background with the ability to creatively solve problems with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and communicate effectively cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, Netsuite and Adaptive preferred but not required.
  • CFA (or progress towards CFA) a plus.
  • Prior experience working in healthcare or retail industry highly desirable.
