About the position

The Corporate Financial Accountant at Rose Companies is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business entities. This role involves preparing monthly bank reconciliations, managing general ledger accounts, and assisting with consolidation reporting. The position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reviews intercompany accounts to ensure both sides are booked properly and reconciled.
• Analyzes and maintains General Ledger accounts.
• Prepares and posts the corporate recurring journal entries.
• Prepares monthly accruals.
• Initiates and posts corporate wires and account transfers.
• Prepares and analyzes financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manages/funds Capital Calls/Distributions and prepares journal entries to record them.
• Reviews intercompany billing cash receipts postings for assigned entities.
• Assists in other areas of corporate accounting and special projects as required.
• Assists/prepares year-end audit activity.
• Prepares and reviews monthly/quarterly reporting for assigned entities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting and/or real estate accounting preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of general accounting principles and processes required.
• Analytical background with detail-oriented mindset required.
• Ability to perform quality assurance reviews required.
• Knowledge of accounting software systems.
• Proven experience as a financial accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA or CPA track preferred.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Job Costing preferred.
