About the position

The Corporate Financial Performance Analyst at Chick-fil-A plays a crucial role in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, focusing on enhancing business decisions through data-driven insights. This position involves curating and analyzing financial performance data related to Chick-fil-A's franchised restaurants and corporate assets, ensuring accuracy and integrity in data sets. The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders, including accounting and data engineering teams, to facilitate effective communication and education regarding financial performance metrics. The role emphasizes continuous improvement in financial processes and insights, particularly for the U.S. restaurant portfolio, while also supporting other business lines.

Responsibilities

  • Run and maintain processes and calculations for corporate financial performance data sets, including source data compilation and financial reconciliations.
  • Prepare and regularly update output products such as reconciliation workbooks, data visualizations, and dashboards.
  • Communicate with Corporate Accounting colleagues to ensure all sources and inputs are current and troubleshoot financial reconciliation issues.
  • Partner with FP&A colleagues to collaborate with data engineers, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of calculations and workflows.
  • Review monthly financial results with the FP&A team, noting key observations and trends.
  • Serve as a FP&A representative in cross-functional committees, reporting on financial results and providing interpretations for stakeholders.
  • Utilize finance concepts to consult with colleagues on corporate financial performance metrics and analyses.
  • Support the innovation and improvement of corporate financial performance information, expanding processes to include other business lines.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in Financial Analysis, Corporate Accounting, Financial Data Management, or Valuation.
  • Experience with financial statement compilation, modeling, and analysis, including intercompany activity and corporate cost allocations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Oracle EPM, Oracle ERP.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • CPA and/or CFA certification.
