About the position

BorgWarner is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Corporate Human Resources team, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our recruitment, learning and development, and overall talent management processes. This position is designed for someone who is passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and is eager to contribute to our mission of delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions. You will be responsible for a variety of key tasks that support our corporate functions globally, including leading engagement initiatives, managing data within our HRIS system, and coordinating onboarding processes for new employees. Your role will also involve collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment in employee engagement activities and vendor management, as well as providing administrative support for global mobility activities. Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement and enablement efforts in Corporate functions globally through employee and manager education sessions, monthly manager meetings, and listening sessions.
  • Act as Talent, Culture, HRIS Corporate contact point and Corporate Learning & Development Coordinator, managing annual nominations for enterprise development programs and monitoring mandatory training status.
  • Drive better understanding of Workday, manage data, prepare reports & dashboards, and support auditing of HR processes including transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Provide recommendations and drive process improvements on Workday Data Quality.
  • Lead internal communications efforts within Corporate, including Org Announcements and Be Heard Survey.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new employees, including background checks and drug screen initiation.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations Team on local employee engagement activities and ensure alignment with WHQ HR Partners.
  • Assist with vendor management activities such as processing invoices and billing.
  • Provide administrative support for global mobility activities, including travel and employment verification letters.
  • Support the HR Manager in resolving employee complaints and grievances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • 2 plus years of related experience in a fast-paced diversified manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration.
  • Basic knowledge of US & Michigan federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to leverage various technology platforms and systems (i.e. Workday, Qualtrics, SharePoint, Canva).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when managing sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and establish interpersonal connections at all levels of the organization.
