About the position

The Corporate HR & Payroll Specialist at Legacy Health Services will play a crucial role in overseeing the payroll process for the facility, ensuring that all payroll operations are executed accurately and in a timely manner. This position requires a thorough review and analysis of each payroll before submission, acting as the subject matter expert and escalation point for resolving any issues that may arise. The specialist will continuously seek improvements in operational processes, designing and implementing initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in payroll management. In addition to payroll oversight, the specialist will be responsible for optimizing the contributions of payroll processors through coaching and implementing practical solutions to business challenges. This role involves conducting work planning, estimation, and prioritization to maximize team performance. The Corporate HR & Payroll Specialist will serve as the primary contact for the human resource/payroll manager at the facility, providing guidance on standards and best practices to improve process efficiency. The specialist will also be tasked with delivering accurate and consistent responses to associate inquiries, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will provide guidance on both basic and complex Workforce Management (WFM) needs by referencing standard scripts, quick reference guides, the WFM Knowledge Base, and other relevant systems. Coordination with a team for WFM and payroll solutions and processes is also a key responsibility of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the facility payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all payroll operations.
  • Review and analyze each payroll before submission to ensure accuracy.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and escalation point for resolving payroll-related issues.
  • Continuously seek improvements in operational processes and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Optimize the contributions of payroll processors through coaching and practical solutions.
  • Conduct work planning, estimation, and prioritization to maximize team performance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the human resource/payroll manager at the facility, providing guidance on standards and best practices.
  • Deliver accurate and consistent answers to associate inquiries using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Provide guidance on basic and complex WFM needs using various reference materials and systems.
  • Coordinate with a team for WFM and payroll solutions and processes.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living environments.
  • Experience in report creation and data analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce financial systems.
  • Familiarity with reporting systems and ACA compliance.
