About the position

Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Corporate Immigration Paralegal to join our growing team. As a vital member of the firm's client service team, the Corporate Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for researching, drafting, and preparing complex employment, investment, and treaty-based visa petitions. This role requires a highly organized individual who can multi-task and meet deadlines while working independently and collaboratively within the client service team. The ideal candidate must possess experience working with the U.S. Department of Labor procedures, have knowledge of National Visa Center processing, consular processing, immigrant/non-immigrant visas, and Adjustment of Status (AOS) processes. The Corporate Immigration Paralegal will engage in various responsibilities, including preparing H-3 Trainee, Individual L, or L-blanket petitions, as well as E-1/E-2 treaty/trader investor visas, EB-5 investor visas, TN, H-1B, and E-3 visas, and extraordinary ability visas. Additionally, the role involves drafting and filing labor condition applications, resolving client registration and processing issues, crafting ad listings for PERM Labor Certification, and managing recruitment through submitting applications to the Department of Labor in compliance with federal requirements. This position is essential in ensuring that the firm provides high-quality legal counsel to its clients while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Researching, drafting and preparing complex employment, investment and treaty-based visa petitions
  • Preparing H-3 Trainee, Individual L, or L-blanket petitions
  • Preparing E-1/E-2 treaty/trader investor visas, EB-5 investor visas, TN, H-1B, and E-3 visas, extraordinary ability visas
  • Drafting and filing labor condition applications
  • Resolving client registration and processing issues
  • Crafting ad listings for PERM Labor Certification
  • Managing recruitment through submitting applications to DOL in compliance with federal requirements

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Paralegal certificate required per CA state law (for California applicants)
  • Minimum of three (3) years' of corporate immigration experience required
  • Experience with drafting L's, H's, and PERM Labor Certifications required
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and knowledge of immigration-based software desired
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking and writing skills are a plus
