About the position

The Corporate Internal Auditor at CEVA Logistics is responsible for leading and executing internal audit engagements across the Americas, ensuring compliance with the annual audit plan. This role involves conducting various types of audits, including operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits, while providing risk-based assurance and insights to enhance organizational value. The auditor will work closely with stakeholders, manage audit teams, and report findings to management, including top executives.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and lead audit engagements according to the annual audit plan and specific stakeholder requests.
  • Prepare for audits by retrieving and analyzing data, applicable policies, and conducting focused interviews to develop a risk-based audit working program.
  • Perform audit fieldwork, including interviews, controls, and analytical tests, in line with the audit working program and internal audit methodology.
  • Draft and share preliminary audit conclusions with auditees.
  • Draft audit reports outlining identified issues, root cause analysis, associated risks, and recommendations for remediation.
  • Debrief local and top management, including the CEO, as needed.
  • Regularly follow up on action plans agreed with auditees to ensure identified risks are managed effectively.
  • Define the audit's scope and schedule in collaboration with the Hub Internal Audit Manager, and assign audit work to team members.
  • Identify and propose improvements to the internal audit methodology to adapt to evolving contexts.

Requirements

  • CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification is highly appreciated.
  • CPA (or equivalent) and CISA certifications are a plus.
  • At least 3 years of experience in internal audit within multinational groups is preferred.
  • Experience with renowned external audit firms is a plus.
  • Exposure to international environments through short- or long-term assignments is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Excellent team player with initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English (both written and oral) is mandatory; fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly appreciated.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
