About the position

The Corporate Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills and support organizational goals. This role focuses on creating engaging learning experiences through various formats, including in-person training and e-learning modules, while also ensuring practical application of skills through on-the-job training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Research, create, design, and develop instructional materials and curriculum that align with learner needs and organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning strategies through assessments and feedback, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for learner retention and behavioral change.
  • Lead the design and delivery of innovative learning solutions, including training, coaching, and mentoring programs.
  • Work with leadership, departments, and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and develop engaging training visuals.
  • Utilize learner feedback to continuously improve instructional materials and delivery methods.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple learning and development projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Stay current on industry trends and provide recommendations on new learning approaches and tools.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement with the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Build and co-lead a high-performing learning and development team, providing guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Learning and Development, Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning development tools, and video/animation production.
  • 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with work experience as a substitute for education.
  • Certification in training or instructional design, or equivalent demonstrated work experience.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
