About the position

The Corporate Legal Assistant for Mergers and Acquisitions at Brown & Brown will support a team of transactional attorneys and a paralegal in the Legal Department. This role involves assisting with legal document preparation, research, and communication related to corporate mergers and acquisitions, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Legal Team.
• Prepares, reviews, and revises all acquisition-related NDAs and coordinates signatures.
• Monitors and tracks all acquisition-related NDAs and new prospect information in Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and Excel.
• Drafts ancillary documents and correspondence.
• Collaborates with external vendors to request necessary information regarding searches and background checks.
• Researches and reviews insurance license information on each prospect and reports findings.
• Effectively communicates with the team, other departments, and vendors.
• Prepares and maintains Closing Binders.
• Works on post-closing matters with the team and other departments.
• Monitors and tracks Earn-Out dates and other important deadlines.
• Attends team meetings, conferences, and training sessions as required.
• Prioritizes multiple assignments while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree or currently seeking an A.S. Degree in Paralegal Studies.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• 1 — 3 years experience in a similar position.
