About the position

The Corporate Manager, Data Engineering at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is responsible for overseeing the team that manages corporate-level enterprise data consolidation and integrity. This role involves leading data projects that focus on data collection, storage, and analysis, while also managing both Data Engineers and Data Developers to fulfill organizational data needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Data Engineers and Data Developers, including daily direction, hiring, and mentoring.
• Work with business users and stakeholders to manage data projects.
• Oversee data environments throughout the enterprise, including data integrations and Business Intelligence Division data delivery.
• Ensure data governance and validation between source applications and centralized data stores.
• Manage existing data tools and research future tools to ensure the enterprise's data stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Data Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in team leadership.
• 5 or more years of experience in data architecting (ETL & ELT) and .NET application development (C#).
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server or other relational data applications.
• Experience with cloud data lake and data delivery models.
• Expertise in TSQL and ANSI SQL.

• Knowledge in data machine learning and data-related AI tools.
