About the position

The Corporate Manager, Data Engineering at Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is responsible for overseeing a team dedicated to corporate-level enterprise data consolidation and ensuring data integrity. This role involves managing data engineers and developers, leading data projects, and transforming enterprise application data into actionable reporting deliverables. The manager will also be tasked with selecting appropriate tools and data architecture to meet the organization's data needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Data Engineers' and Data Developers' - include daily direction, hiring, and mentoring.
• Work with business users and stakeholders to manage data projects.
• Manage data environments throughout the enterprise, including oversight for all data integrations and Business Intelligence Division data delivery.
• Oversee data governance and validation between source applications and centralized data stores.
• Manage existing data tools and research future tools to ensure data enterprise future stability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Data Engineering required.
• 5 or more years of experience in data architecting (ETL & ELT) and .NET application development (C#).
• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server or other relational data applications.
• Experience with cloud data lake and data delivery models.
• Expert in TSQL & ANSI SQL.
• Experience in team leadership.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• Knowledge in data Machine Learning and data-related AI tools.
