About the position

The Corporate Manager of Maintenance and Engineering is responsible for overseeing engineering and maintenance functions across multiple locations in Skagit County. This role involves effective planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects and maintenance activities to support operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimizing equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage engineering projects, including new installations, facility upgrades, and process improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to optimize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and extend asset life.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management for the engineering and maintenance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and oversee the engineering and maintenance budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure that all engineering and maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards.
  • Establish an effective asset management program, including preventive maintenance schedules, equipment inspections, and spare parts inventory management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to identify areas for enhancement in engineering and maintenance processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to source materials, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality goods and services.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality, and supply chain, to optimize processes and achieve overall business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering and maintenance to introduce innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field). A master's degree or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in engineering and maintenance management in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
