About the position

The Corporate Materials Quote Manager at Spartronics is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all material quoting activities related to corporate customer Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ). This role ensures the preparation and delivery of cost-competitive materials cost of goods sold (mCOGs) in alignment with corporate commodity strategies, supporting Spartronics' bids for new business opportunities. The position requires collaboration with Program Managers, Corporate Quote Bid Teams, and Commodity Estimators to secure optimal pricing and supplier partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the quoting process for RFP and RFQ activities, ensuring adherence to the quoting checklist.
  • Verify inputs and assign tasks to Commodity Estimators for RFQ preparation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of quoted material costs (mCOGs) and alignment with corporate supplier strategies.
  • Conduct final reviews of all quoted materials before submission to the Corporate Quote Bid Team.
  • Organize project kickoff meetings to share details and milestones with stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing quarterly with Commodity Leaders.
  • Utilize preferred price books for catalog components and ensure RFQs are sent to approved suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain team on projects with material costs exceeding $500K.
  • Maintain centralized SharePoint databases for RFP/RFQ documentation and project files.
  • Utilize tools such as QuoteWin eDI for managing material RFQs and supplier responses.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a materials quoting or procurement role within a manufacturing or technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of BOM management, supplier relationships, and cost estimation processes.
  • Expertise in material quoting tools (e.g., QuoteWin eDI) and cost roll-up templates.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, especially in pricing trends, supplier negotiations, and RFQ evaluations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and SharePoint for data management.
  • Experience working with international suppliers and understanding global regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, FARs, NADCAP).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronics or aerospace manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with NDA protocols, non-recurring engineering (NRE), and government flow-down regulations.
