We're looking for a resourceful and dynamic Paralegal to become a vital member of our Legal Department! Reporting to Figure's Senior Corporate Paralegal, you will support all aspects of our fast-growing business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of paralegal or related experience
  • Strong organizational skills, with an emphasis on managing time, documents, projects and relationships
  • Extreme attention to detail, ability to adjust on the fly, problem-solving skills, intellectual maturity, business acumen and a great attitude
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Database management experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced growing company
  • A self-starter mentality, with the confidence to work independently and take initiative without oversight

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and provide commentary on a variety of legal documents, including NDAs, vendor contracts and corporate documents
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to support the drafting, review, and execution of a wide array of legal documents
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including efficiently routing documents for signatures, cataloging executed contracts into a document database, and tracking contract statuses
  • Oversee the maintenance of a legal filing system, managing the retention and organization of electronic and paper documents
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Legal Department and internal stakeholders, addressing questions and issues and fielding them to the appropriate parties
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across the business to research, draft and advise on legal documents
  • Support a variety of complex corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, securitizations, and joint ventures, including assisting with due diligence and KYC requests
  • Assist with the management and administration of the company's subsidiaries by managing corporate filings, governance documents, and ensuring compliance with local and state regulations
  • Draft corporate governance documents, including resolutions, consents, and minutes
  • Support periodic and ad hoc regulatory reporting and related internal processes including, but not limited to, Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and proxy statements, Section 16 filings, and maintenance of the company's insider trading compliance program
  • Collaborate on company-wide initiatives and other special projects as needed
