The position of Corporate Paralegal is responsible for providing day-to-day paralegal support to the Legal Department for Sky River Casino. This role involves direct reporting to the General Counsel on all legal matters with varying levels of complexity. The responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, negotiating, processing, revising, tracking, and filing of agreements, which encompass commercial transactions and vendor services agreements. Additionally, the Corporate Paralegal will assist with litigation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, special projects, and perform other operational assignments for Sky River Casino. The Corporate Paralegal oversees contract administration, which includes drafting, revising, and managing contracts for review by the General Counsel. This includes nondisclosure agreements, client service agreements, business associate agreements, master agreements, licensing agreements, vendor agreements, consulting agreements, construction agreements, gaming agreements, marketing agreements, IT agreements, agency agreements, and similar documents. The role requires managing and utilizing contract management systems, monitoring and advising on contractual deadlines, and ensuring that contract terms comply with Company policies, applicable federal and state regulations, and business needs to minimize risks and exposure. In addition to contract management, the Corporate Paralegal will assist with tracking and fulfilling contract terms, including renewal, termination, and data privacy requirements. The position also involves communication and collaboration with outside or carrier counsel as necessary, providing assistance with litigation, and making recommendations to improve company procedures and processes. The Corporate Paralegal will conduct legal and internet research as directed, route documents for signatures via DocuSign or its equivalent, and create processes and workflows that ensure productivity and adherence to Company best practices. Furthermore, the role includes administering the records retention policy and collaborating with various teams such as Marketing, Human Resources, Risk Management, Compliance, Cyber Security, IT, and Operations, along with leadership and stakeholders as necessary.
