About the position

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Corporate Paralegal in our Hi-Tech Engineering industry based in Waltham, Massachusetts. This role will entail the review, assessment, and updating of various corporate subsidiary e-records/databases for entities around the world, with a focus on the utilization of Computershare GEMS for Global Entity Management. The Corporate Paralegal will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing corporate governance for both domestic and foreign subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with legal standards and internal policies. In this position, you will utilize various software applications, including Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), for case management and billing functions. You will be responsible for handling briefing, calendar management, and claim administration tasks, employing excellent communication skills to resolve customer inquiries and manage customer accounts effectively. Additionally, you will process and maintain accurate customer credit applications and records, monitor customer accounts, and take appropriate actions based on account status. The role requires the implementation of CompuLaw for effective legal case management, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Your skills in briefing and calendar management will be essential in this fast-paced environment, where attention to detail and the ability to multitask are critical for success.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must hold a degree in law, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a corporate paralegal in a hi-tech engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and Case Management Software.
  • Experience with CompuLaw and handling Billing Functions.
  • Must possess excellent briefing and calendar management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in claim administration and effective communication.
  • Experience working with subsidiaries and foreign subsidiaries.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance and its applications in the hi-tech engineering industry.
  • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
