About the position

The Corporate Payroll Analyst at Prime Healthcare is responsible for managing various payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal control processes. This role involves conducting root cause analysis to identify payroll system issues, maintaining payroll system audits, and assisting with external payroll audits. The analyst will also research relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll procedures and taxes as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of payroll activities ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal control payroll processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify payroll systems problems/issues.
  • Maintain payroll systems audit monthly, quarterly, or as required.
  • Assist with external payroll audit requests and implementations of current or new acquisitions.
  • Research laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Hospital Payroll experience.
  • General accounting background.
  • Hands-on experience with Excel or equivalent.
  • Experience with JBDev/Kronos or similar timekeeping system.
  • Some knowledge of ADP preferred.
  • Knowledge of Wage and Hour Guidelines and Healthcare pay practices.
  • Knowledge of payroll dictionary set up.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll taxes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with audits for 401k, DOL, W/C preferred.
  • Multi-state knowledge of payroll laws preferred.
  • Some knowledge of ADP preferred.
  • Experience with union collective bargaining agreements and protocols preferred.
