About the position

The Corporate Payroll Manager at Camber Corporation is responsible for overseeing the payroll processing for over 500 employees across multiple properties. This role requires a motivated self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with state and federal wage laws while managing payroll audits and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Processing bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees across all properties.
• Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports including gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, and benefit deductions.
• Verifying employment, handling unemployment claims, and managing garnishments.
• Supporting audits, 401k, and workers' compensation reporting requirements by gathering and analyzing data.
• Auditing new hires, rehires, employee changes, processing terminations, and issuing final payments.
• Preparing payroll journal entries and reconciling payroll accounts.
• Staying current on payroll systems to align with HR benefits and ensure effective accounting support.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal wage and hour laws for multi-state payroll.
• Coordinating integration and setup of new pay groups for acquired companies.
• Processing tips, commissions, and bonus files.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of management experience in a multi-state employer organization.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures thoroughly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ADP Workforce Now.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
