About the position

JC Porter, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Payroll Manager to lead and optimize payroll functions across a multi-state organization in North Denver. This role focuses on payroll administration, compliance, and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees. The Corporate Payroll Manager will oversee payroll operations, manage tax compliance, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate processing of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, including off-cycle adjustments and garnishments, while maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of payroll and timekeeping systems to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Handle payroll-related tax filings, year-end processes, W-2 distribution, and quarterly reporting.
  • Oversee audits by providing necessary payroll records and supporting documents.
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across departments, maintaining comprehensive records and reconciliations.
  • Supervise a team responsible for timesheet management and payroll transactions for employee lifecycle changes.
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to align on payroll processes and policy implementation.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to streamline payroll processes and adapt systems to support organizational growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience
  • 5+ years in a managerial role
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including multi-state payroll
  • Proven experience with quarterly and year-end tax filings, funding of 401(k) and HSA accounts, and W-2 processing
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
