About the position

The Principal Solutions Architect is a key member of the Information Technology team at Glacier Bancorp, responsible for the technical design and implementation of strategic projects aimed at enhancing the bank's online and in-branch deposit account and loan origination services platform. This role requires strong technical expertise in banking systems management and development, with a focus on the Temenos platform. The architect will work closely with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and maximizing the value delivered by the technical team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of strategic projects for the Temenos platform.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements for the development team.
• Drive continuous improvement and technical integration across teams.
• Maximize the value delivered by the technical team and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Channel Managers to elicit and capture business requirements.
• Establish technical expertise and teach the business domain and design of the code base to other staff.
• Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions and articulate benefits and risks.
• Lead a development team in maintaining a healthy product backlog and participating in agile ceremonies.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex problems and provide advanced troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field.
• 5 years of experience in bank or financial software development and/or system administration.
• 3 years of experience developing and executing product roadmaps and managing risks and dependencies.
• Extensive experience in business requirement gathering, prioritization, and implementation.
• Experience in delivering business technologies in a complex multi-channel environment.
• Strong understanding of technology to collaborate with internal and external partners.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Temenos or related cloud-based banking software.
• Knowledge of ITIL service delivery and management frameworks.
• Experience leading teams with external resources such as vendors and consultants.
