About the position

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Corporate (Privacy and Data Security) Associate with three to five years of experience in federal, state, and international data privacy laws. This position is available in any of the firm's 30 offices and requires a Juris Doctorate (JD) and a valid license to practice law in the respective state. The role focuses on compliance with privacy laws, data incident response, and understanding cybersecurity threats.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on compliance with federal, state, and international data privacy laws.
• Assist clients with data incident response and management.
• Draft and review privacy policies and data protection agreements.
• Conduct training sessions on data privacy and security best practices.
• Stay updated on new and upcoming privacy laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.
• Three to five years of experience with data privacy laws.
• Strong academic record and excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compliance related to CPRA, SHIELD Act, VA CDPA, CO CPA, and GDPR.
• Understanding of cybersecurity threats companies face.
• Experience with HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
