About the position

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Corporate (Privacy and Data Security) Associate to join its Corporate Department. This position is open to candidates in any of the firm's 30 offices and requires a strong background in federal, state, and international data privacy laws. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advising clients on compliance with privacy regulations and managing data security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and international data privacy laws.
• Assist in data incident response and management.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on privacy and data security issues.
• Draft and review privacy policies and data protection agreements.
• Stay updated on new and upcoming privacy laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.
• Three to five years of experience in privacy and data security law.
• Strong academic record and excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compliance related to CPRA, SHIELD Act, VA CDPA, CO CPA, and GDPR.
• Understanding of cybersecurity threats faced by companies.
