About the position

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Corporate (Privacy and Data Security) Associate to join its Corporate Department. This position is open to candidates in any of the firm's 30 offices and requires a strong background in federal, state, and international data privacy laws. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of relevant experience and will be responsible for advising clients on compliance with privacy laws and handling data incident responses.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and international data privacy laws.
• Assist in data incident response and management.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to privacy and data security issues.
• Draft and review privacy policies and data protection agreements.
• Stay updated on new and upcoming privacy laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.
• Three to five years of experience with data privacy laws.
• Strong academic record and excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compliance related to CPRA, SHIELD Act, VA CDPA, CO CPA, and GDPR.
• Understanding of cybersecurity threats faced by companies.
