About the position

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Privacy and Data Security Associate to join its Corporate Department. This role is open to candidates in any of the firm's 30 offices and requires three to five years of experience in federal, state, and international data privacy laws. The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating complex privacy regulations and ensuring compliance with various data protection laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on federal, state, and international data privacy laws.
• Assist clients with compliance regarding new privacy laws such as CPRA, SHIELD Act, VA CDPA, CO CPA, and GDPR.
• Manage data incident response and advise on HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
• Analyze cybersecurity threats and provide guidance to clients on risk management.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.
• Three to five years of experience in data privacy law.
• Strong academic record and excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compliance related to new and upcoming privacy laws.
• Understanding of cybersecurity threats companies face.
