About the position

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Corporate (Privacy and Data Security) Associate to join its Corporate Department. This role is open to candidates in any of the firm's 30 offices and requires expertise in federal, state, and international data privacy laws. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advising clients on compliance with privacy regulations and managing data security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and international data privacy laws.
• Assist in data incident response and management.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on privacy and data security issues.
• Draft and review privacy policies and data protection agreements.
• Stay updated on new and upcoming privacy laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• Must be licensed to practice in the state where the office resides.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in privacy and data security law.
• Strong academic record and excellent writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compliance related to CPRA, SHIELD Act, VA CDPA, CO CPA, and GDPR.
• Understanding of cybersecurity threats companies face.
• Experience with HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
