About the position
The Process Control Engineer will lead Global Capital and Improvement Projects with a focus on Control Systems and Digital Transformation. This role involves generating cost-effective process control engineering services while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as operational and financial targets. The engineer will oversee the implementation of Factory 4.0 concepts and manage organizational change projects, ensuring the effective adoption of new digital tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for Global Capital and Improvement Projects from feasibility through construction and start-up.
- Generate cost-effective process control Digital Transformation engineering services.
- Enforce the application of corporate standards to ensure company knowledge assimilation.
- Organize, plan, manage, implement, and optimize organizational change projects.
- Develop and implement process control solutions based on Factory 4.0 concepts.
- Oversee the deployment, integration, and adoption of new digital tools.
- Implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the project technical lead and manage some project management activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Chemical and related industries.
- Experience with control standard ISA-88 and related standards.
- Ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision.
- Proven skills in requirements gathering, design, configuration, and implementation of process control solutions.
- Expertise in batch process manufacturing across all project phases.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Allen Bradley family of PLC's ControlLogix and AVEVA software solutions, HMI/SCADA, Data Historian, and Batch software.
