About the position

The Reliability Engineer at Arclin is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of manufacturing processes and systems. This role focuses on analyzing data, identifying root causes of issues, and designing solutions to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure consistent product quality. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and involves a significant amount of travel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct reliability assessments and failure analyses to identify weaknesses in systems and processes.
  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies and technologies.
  • Perform detailed root cause analyses of equipment failures and process breakdowns.
  • Develop and optimize maintenance strategies including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in equipment reliability and process efficiency.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to equipment performance, reliability, and maintenance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address reliability issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and reliability studies.
  • Provide training and support to maintenance and operations staff on reliability practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in failure analysis and reliability assessments.
  • Proficiency in reliability engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and techniques.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and reliability analysis software.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in manufacturing environments.
