The Privacy Analyst of Corporate Responsibility plays a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Responsibility Privacy Manager in managing the systemwide privacy program at AdventHealth. This position is integral to the Corporate Responsibility (CR) Privacy team, where the Privacy Analyst operates independently to conduct privacy investigations, perform audits, manage routine tasks, and contribute to special project assignments. The Privacy Analyst is responsible for facilitating educational sessions as directed and ensuring compliance with federal and state privacy and data protection laws, as well as AdventHealth's internal policies and procedures. The role emphasizes the importance of delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful and professional relationships at all times. In this position, the Privacy Analyst is tasked with the initial screening and timely investigation of assigned privacy matters. This includes potential inappropriate access by unauthorized parties, misuse, and loss of sensitive data. The analyst conducts thorough investigations that involve data gathering, analyses, interviews, and summarizing results in report form under the direction of the Privacy Manager. Investigative responsibilities also encompass conducting data analysis and interviews to inform the investigative process, performing detailed analyses of findings, and conducting standard breach risk assessments for each investigation. The Privacy Analyst will provide support to the Executive Director of Privacy and Education and the Privacy Manager in meeting federal and state reporting requirements, including those from the Office for Civil Rights regarding breach notifications and follow-up investigations. Maintaining timely and complete updates in the applicable incident management system is essential, as is coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including Legal, Human Resources, Information Security, and Health Information Management, to address privacy concerns and inquiries. Additionally, the Privacy Analyst will assist departments and leaders in implementing corrective actions to mitigate the effects of inappropriate behavior and document such actions. The role also involves managing the privacy inbox and other reporting methods to intake privacy complaints and concerns, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess, analyze, interpret, and report data, metrics, and trends. The ability to manage and monitor project progress, prioritize work duties, and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information is critical to success in this role.
