About the position

The Privacy Analyst of Corporate Responsibility supports the Corporate Responsibility Privacy Manager in managing the systemwide privacy program at AdventHealth. This role involves conducting privacy investigations, performing audits, managing routine tasks, and facilitating educational sessions. The Privacy Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state privacy laws and AdventHealth's policies, while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial screening and timely investigation of assigned privacy matters, including potential inappropriate access and misuse of sensitive data.
• Perform thorough investigations, including data gathering, analyses, and interviews, summarizing results in report form.
• Conduct data analysis and interviews to inform the investigative process and perform detailed analyses of findings.
• Support the Executive Director of Privacy and Education in meeting federal and state reporting requirements regarding breach notifications.
• Maintain timely updates in the incident management system.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding privacy concerns to ensure compliance.
• Assist departments in implementing corrective actions to mitigate inappropriate behavior and document actions taken.
• Manage privacy inbox and other reporting methods for privacy complaints and concerns.
• Participate in miscellaneous system-wide HIPAA Privacy Program projects as requested.

Requirements

• Minimum one to two years of experience in HIPAA health care privacy.
• Certification in health care privacy (CHPC) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) obtained within the first year.

Nice-to-haves

• Existing certification in health care privacy (CHPC) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
