About the position

The Sales Relationship Manager at Bloomberg will play a crucial role in expanding the company's footprint within the Corporations sector. This position focuses on developing deep, trusted relationships with clients, understanding their workflows, and identifying opportunities for Bloomberg's solutions. The role requires a consultative approach to uncover opportunities, drive enterprise revenue strategies, and enhance client operating efficiency while staying updated on industry trends and business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize strong product knowledge, technical skills, and market knowledge to generate revenue from Bloomberg's terminal business and broader technology and data suite.
  • Demonstrate sales creativity by combining offerings or creating new unique offerings that present a strong return on investment.
  • Forge relationships with prospects in the region to expand Bloomberg's footprint and secure new business revenue.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of customer operations at all levels, including terminal users and other stakeholders.
  • Articulate the features and benefits of Bloomberg enterprise-level products in detail, acting as a consultative partner for customers.
  • Show exceptional knowledge of core terminal products and how workflows apply to specific customer groups and industry types.
  • Position analytics, data, and product solutions credibly in the context of developing financial markets and changing technology landscape.
  • Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate and address client needs.
  • Collaborate internally to implement and execute value-added solutions.
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals.
  • Seek additional ways to demonstrate leadership and make an impact, such as mentoring and involvement in training.

Requirements

  • A proven track record within sales, with 4+ years of relevant market experience.
  • Strong desire to be part of a new, global, fast-moving, high-growth team.
  • Desire to understand day-to-day operations and workflows at Corporations and the challenges faced in various roles.
  • Desire for cross-region sales collaboration.
  • Desire to collaborate with Product Management to impact the direction of Bloomberg's suite of solutions.
  • Proven consultative sales skills, including competitive market research, lead generation, prospecting, business development, and closing sales.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements concurrently.
  • Experience in building and maintaining client relationships both externally and internally.
  • Outstanding presentation, training, and communication skills.
  • Ability for regular travel.
