In this role, you will be the visionary behind Avaya's social media strategy, responsible for crafting and executing initiatives that elevate our brand and engage our global audience. You will lead efforts to set ambitious goals, leverage data-driven insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our social media presence reflects our leadership in the industry. Your ability to communicate effectively, think creatively, and lead with purpose will be crucial to our success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking social media strategy that aligns with Avaya's business objectives and brand vision.
  • Set goals and KPIs, driving innovation in our social media initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, communications, product, sales & partner enablement) to create cohesive and impactful messaging.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to amplify our social media efforts.
  • Oversee a content calendar that delivers compelling, relevant, and thought-provoking content.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends and introduce new approaches to enhance Avaya's online presence.
  • Use data to measure success, report on key metrics, and refine strategies to improve performance.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years in social media management, preferred organic and paid experience, with a proven track record of developing and executing innovative strategies.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field -OR- related years of experience in a relevant industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence teams, driving alignment and achieving results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and effectively manage projects from conception to execution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives and engaging diverse audiences.
  • A passion for innovation, a keen sense for storytelling, and the ability to bring fresh ideas to life.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meltwater), and content management systems.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media advertising.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with internal teams and external partners, fostering collaboration and driving success.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and proactively seek solutions to challenges.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
