About the position

The Corporate Staff Accountant position at Robert Half in Los Angeles, California, is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations. Responsibilities

  • Accurately process and review accounts payable
  • Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Review and code expense reports for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage general ledger coding for company and employee credit card purchases and vendor invoices
  • Provide support for Corporate Accounts Payable as needed
  • Prepare simple journal entries for shared bank account funding
  • Prepare and record transfers between accounts
  • Assist with corporate payroll accounting and intercompany transactions when required
  • Print checks for the Accounts Payable Department daily
  • Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to manage financial data and perform necessary tasks
  • Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Corporate Staff Accountant
  • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is a must
  • Expertise in conducting Bank Reconciliations
  • Familiarity with maintaining the General Ledger
  • Should be able to manage Journal Entries
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills are necessary
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Must have advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
