You will collaborate with various teams including Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Procurement, as well as our manufacturing plants, to enhance our processes and products. Your responsibilities will include modifying existing manufacturing processes to facilitate product and packaging improvements, working closely with equipment suppliers to develop new manufacturing processes, and identifying, scoping, and implementing projects aimed at enhancing safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability. This may involve plant expansions and modernizations, as well as the introduction of new technologies to improve our operations. You will also be responsible for building strong partnerships with equipment suppliers, developing project scopes of work, cost estimates, and schedules, and assisting with the implementation of large strategic capital projects from inception to completion. As a Corporate Strategic Projects Engineer, you will act as a consultant, providing your expertise on construction and manufacturing processes, and will be involved in project construction activities including installation, startup, troubleshooting, and training. Your role will require you to travel to and work with multiple manufacturing facilities within Reynolds, making your contributions vital to our company's success. Responsibilities

  • Modify existing manufacturing processes for product and packaging improvements.
  • Work with equipment suppliers to develop manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Identify, scope, and implement projects to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Identify and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing operations.
  • Build strong partnerships with equipment suppliers.
  • Develop project scopes of work, cost estimates, and project schedules.
  • Help implement large strategic capital projects from start to finish.
  • Work with engineering firms to create construction packages including specifications and drawings.
  • Assist with project construction activities including installation, startup, troubleshooting, and training.
  • Act as a consultant providing expertise on construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Travel to and work with multiple manufacturing facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of professional and progressive engineering experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience with MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrated high level competencies of engineering concepts.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Ability to generate and effectively maintain Gantt charts.
  • Ability to estimate and control project costs and provide monthly spending updates.
  • Ability to travel (30%).
