About the position

The Strategy Director at Allianz Life is a key member of the Corporate Strategy Team, responsible for leading and executing the Corporate Strategy. This role focuses on developing innovative strategies that have a wide impact across the organization. The Strategy Director will collaborate with various business partners, manage strategic initiatives, and communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the development of strategic plans, aligning with Finance and the Strategic Program Management team.
• Oversee all facets of strategy projects ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and policies, including financial forecasting and audit & control.
• Create and drive communications to broad audiences on behalf of Strategy Leadership.
• Support the building of a Long-term Strategy model and execute key strategies to meet future needs.
• Create and manage business cases and measurement models to evaluate portfolio efforts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategy development and project management.
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with annuities and distribution.
• Understanding of the distribution landscape with financial advisors and broker dealers.
• Experience in developing business cases and performing cost-benefit analysis.
• Strong collaborative relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing executive relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience supporting complex, high visibility programs.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
