About the position

The Business Operations Director at Lassonde Pappas & Co. is a pivotal role responsible for leading operational projects and building a pipeline of strategic initiatives for the US brands portfolio. This position is integral to enhancing portfolio and project management operations across the total US. Reporting directly to the President of US Brands, the Director will be based in Cherry Hill and will collaborate closely with the Center of Excellence in Supply Chain & Manufacturing. The Director will be an involved member of the leadership team, tasked with developing annual and strategic plans to achieve overall business objectives. This includes translating business priorities into actionable operational plans, initiatives, and objectives, with a focus on end-to-end business processes. The role encompasses managing copack relationships, optimizing the network, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and driving operational excellence to enhance service delivery and business efficiencies, ultimately leading to margin expansion. In addition to business operations, the Director will oversee portfolio and project management, establishing governance for projects by setting standards, processes, and tools for effective project delivery. This includes integrating the portfolio management process into the business planning cycle and fostering discipline across functions and teams. The Director will also be responsible for developing collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams, influencing progress, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The role requires a strategic thinker who can manage financials of critical projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Director will maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, while also ensuring a safe and legal work environment and promoting personal growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational projects and build a pipeline of strategic initiatives for the US brands portfolio.
  • Develop annual and strategic plans to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Translate business priorities into operational plans, initiatives, and objectives.
  • Manage copack relationships and optimize the network for cost savings and operational excellence.
  • Implement and manage financials of critical projects on behalf of program sponsors and steering committees.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams to accelerate progress.
  • Identify process and improvement opportunities and propose new ways of working together with cross-functional leads.
  • Direct project management operations to meet organizational goals and establish standards for effective project delivery.
  • Integrate portfolio management processes into the business planning cycle and build discipline across functions and teams.
  • Participate in designing, implementing, and managing specialized projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Five plus (5+) years of progressive leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent time management skills.
