About the position
The Corporate Sustainability Disclosure & Engagement Lead at Western Digital is responsible for leading the company's sustainability strategy and managing public disclosures. This role involves overseeing sustainability reporting processes, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with sustainability-related regulations. The Lead will work cross-functionally to build supplier engagement tools and facilitate projects that align with the company's environmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Own sustainability reporting processes end-to-end, including regulatory and voluntary reporting.
- Conduct materiality analyses and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Monitor sustainability-related regulations and assist with gap assessments.
- Devise and embed sustainability-related risk assessments into existing risk management processes.
- Lead Supplier Sustainability Engagement and align efforts with customer needs.
- Support customer engagement and environmental initiatives.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability or related fields.
- Strong project management expertise with proven skills to lead cross-functional projects.
- Effective presentation and communication skills, including responding to live questions.
- Proficiency with sustainability standards and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP disclosures.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the tech sector or consulting is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
