About the position

The Corporate Systems Analyst is a vital member of the Enterprise IT team, tasked with translating business needs into effective technology solutions. This role requires the individual to become a subject matter expert in the company's business processes and the supporting systems, ensuring that best-in-class documentation is maintained throughout. The position offers exposure to a diverse range of corporate systems, including Microsoft Dynamics ERP, Salesforce, HRIS, financial planning, billing, procurement, expense management, file transfer, and the supporting infrastructure that underpins these systems. In this role, the Corporate Systems Analyst will develop a deep understanding of Bottomline's business processes and Enterprise IT systems. The analyst will be responsible for translating business needs into detailed requirements and use cases, identifying creative solutions to both business and technology challenges. Collaboration with technical team members is essential to produce these solutions effectively. Additionally, the analyst will create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business processes, requirements, specifications, and configurations, which are crucial for the ongoing success of the systems in use. The role also involves working closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to map requirements to test cases, ensuring that all tests are complete and meet the established criteria. User support is another critical aspect of this position, where the analyst will address queries, provide training, and troubleshoot incidents and reported issues related to the software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop subject matter expertise in Bottomline business processes and Enterprise IT systems.
  • Translate business needs into detailed requirements and use cases.
  • Identify creative solutions to business and technology challenges and liaise with technical team members to produce those solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation: business process, requirements, specifications, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to map requirements to test cases and ensure test completeness.
  • Provide user support for software systems, addressing queries, providing training, and performing troubleshooting of incidents and reported issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years' experience with accounting, finance, and human resources systems.
  • 4+ years' experience as a business systems analyst.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn business processes and systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners across the globe.
  • Exceptional documentation skills including business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and system configuration documents.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments while meeting established schedules and deadlines in an organized manner.
  • Experience with large company internal control, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERPs (AX2012, D365).
  • Experience with documentation and collaboration platforms such as Confluence.
  • Corporate system management best practices (e.g., SDLC/release management, change control, user access and segregation of duties, documentation).
  • Experience with agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience with ITSM and ticket/work management solutions, such as Jira.
  • Experience with file sharing and document repositories such as SharePoint and GoAnywhere.
  • Experience with system integrations, APIs, web services, etc.
