About the position

Parts Town Unlimited is seeking a skilled Corporate Tax Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in partnership, corporate, and international tax to join our finance team. The Corporate Tax Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and supporting the financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of partnership and corporate tax principles. In this role, you will partner with a third-party provider to ensure timely filing of partnership and corporate tax returns (forms 1065 and 1120). You will compile information for the completion of international forms for US compliance (Forms 5471, 8858, FinCEN 114) and prepare quarterly and yearly income tax projections and income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Additionally, you will lead the completion of foreign reporting calculations, including Country by Country reporting, Pillar II compliance, BEAT, FDII, and GILTI. Your responsibilities will also include preparing transfer pricing calculations and documentation, assisting in tax planning, tax research, and budgeting initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance. You will respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required. Furthermore, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures related to tax matters for internal and external reporting purposes, and contribute to special projects and initiatives within the finance department as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning, with a focus on partnership and corporate taxation.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with International filings and reporting for US purposes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with tax research tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information and sensitive matters.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in tax compliance and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • CPA or MST (preferred).
