About the position

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Corporate Tax Staff Accountant in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves managing the day-to-day bookkeeping for new and existing clients, processing individual and corporate tax returns, and utilizing QuickBooks online software. The Corporate Tax Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring that all accounting functions are performed in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain accurate records of accounting transactions and monitor accounts payable effectively. The successful candidate will also be responsible for utilizing Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data, as well as using Ultra Tax for corporate tax return processing. This role may also involve performing other related duties as assigned, making it essential for the candidate to be adaptable and willing to take on various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping for new and existing clients
• Process individual and corporate tax returns
• Maintain accurate records of accounting transactions
• Utilize QuickBooks online software for accounting and bookkeeping functions
• Monitor and manage accounts payable
• Ensure all accounting functions are performed in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
• Use Ultra Tax for corporate tax return processing
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Accounting Functions
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficient in Bookkeeping Functions
• Experience with Ultra Tax software
• Knowledge in Corporate Tax Return preparation
• Ability to handle Individual Tax Return preparations
