About the position

The Corporate Trainer I at Eastern Bank is responsible for facilitating training sessions, developing training content, and managing administrative tasks to support the learning journey of employees, particularly in retail. This role collaborates with various business lines and ensures that training materials are up-to-date with organizational goals and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates training sessions for up to 25 people with a focus on retail employees.
• Conducts New Hire Orientation as needed.
• Creates an environment conducive to learning and drives discussion.
• Troubleshoots basic technology challenges during training sessions.
• Ensures training material is updated with policy and procedure changes.
• Develops training materials such as Participant Guides and Guide Cards.
• Engages in ongoing evaluations of training material to meet learning needs.
• Identifies areas for support and creates proposals with solutions.
• Updates rosters and communicates with leadership regarding attendance.
• Collaborates with technology partners to resolve technology challenges.
• Orders training supplies and ensures participants have necessary materials.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years banking experience required.
• Teller and Platform experience required.
• Intermediate proficiency in key MS Office applications.
• Expertise in FIS applications is required.
• Strong understanding of adult learning styles and theory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in developing training materials and conducting evaluations.
• Familiarity with federal regulations applicable to retail roles.
