About the position

The Corporate Trainer I role at Eastern Bank is focused on facilitating training sessions for retail employees, developing training content that aligns with organizational goals, and managing administrative tasks. This position plays a crucial role in the development and learning journey of employees, ensuring that training materials are up-to-date and effective in meeting learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates training sessions for up to 25 people with a focus on retail employees.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation as needed.
  • Creates a conducive learning environment and drives discussion during training sessions.
  • Troubleshoots basic technology challenges during training.
  • Ensures training material is updated with policy and procedure changes.
  • Stays current on federal regulations and updates training material accordingly.
  • Develops training materials such as Participant Guides and Guide Cards.
  • Engages in ongoing evaluations of training material to meet learning needs.
  • Identifies areas for support and creates proposals with solutions.
  • Updates rosters and communicates with leadership regarding participant attendance.
  • Collaborates with technology partners to resolve technology challenges.
  • Orders training supplies and ensures participants have necessary materials.

Requirements

  • Intermediate level proficiency in key MS Office applications.
  • Expert proficiency with FIS applications.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning styles and theory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Minimum of 4 years banking experience required.
  • Teller and Platform experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Zoom.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting regulatory changes.
