About the position

The Corporate Trainer at Great Dane LLC is responsible for developing and executing leadership and performance development activities across the company's manufacturing and service facilities. This role involves onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and performance management, ensuring that employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership development expertise for manufacturing and service onboarding activities.
  • Develop, implement & monitor a suite of Human Resource Training for Managers.
  • Assist in the development of bench strength learning and development activities for Great Dane.
  • Target specific educational institutions, establish relationships, and identify specific programs and activities for employees.
  • Identify and contract with state and federal funding available for company locations, administer state and federal paperwork for funding.
  • Work with Technical Trainers for development of technical training.
  • Serve as second Administrator for the LMS as the company learning platform, addressing issues and problems as they occur.
  • Work with other departments to develop optimal training tools or redesign existing tools to improve employee performance.
  • Communicate training opportunities and engage others throughout the organization.
  • Develop, deliver and manage current and future leadership development training & activities from line management through Senior Management.
  • Consult with senior leaders on executive education activities and developmental planning for department employees.
  • Coordinate external consultant activities.
  • Manage event learning activities when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced data functions in Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience in use of relationship databases, including advanced query and report writing.
  • Excellent analytical skills; Ability to collect and analyze data and present findings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Presentation skills.
