About the position

The Corporate Trainer at CRC Insurance Services, Inc. is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs aimed at enhancing the performance capabilities of staff. This role involves providing internal consultancy to managers and employees, ensuring effective training delivery through various methods, and continuously assessing the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum for teammates.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Learning and leadership to identify training needs.
  • Analyze effectiveness of training and workshops and develop modifications if needed.
  • Conduct training through classroom, virtual, internet-based formats, and other methods.
  • Formulate teaching outlines and determine appropriate instructional methods.
  • Design course materials including handouts, manuals, exercises, and tests.
  • Develop or select teaching aids to enhance training materials.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training efforts and implement changes as needed.
  • Develop and coordinate training schedules based on production workforce needs.
  • Provide general training assistance via telephone, email, or in person.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years of insurance industry experience.
  • Effective communication (verbal, written, and presentation skills) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to gain confidence and respect of all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters appropriately.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to review information, make decisions, and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • High empathy skills and understanding of effective teaching methodologies.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Current knowledge of technological trends.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous training in a classroom environment.
  • Insurance related certifications or designations.
  • Previous experience with curriculum development.
