About the position

The Mortgage Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to loan officers, particularly focusing on new hires. This role is crucial in guiding loan officers to achieve success in their positions by sharing knowledge and expertise in the mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of mortgage regulations and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive mortgage training programs to loan officers, including new hires and existing staff.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify training needs, develop training plans, and design training materials that meet the needs of the business and the team.
  • Implement training programs that improve loan officers' knowledge, skills, and performance.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, including classroom training, one-on-one coaching, and on-the-job training.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor loan officer performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure they are meeting job expectations and performing at a high level.
  • Develop and maintain training manuals, videos, and other training materials.
  • Keep up to date with mortgage industry trends and regulations to ensure training content is current and relevant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mortgage trainer, mortgage loan officer, or in a related position.
  • Deep knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, products, and processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
