About the position

The Corporate Trainer at Visual Comfort & Co. is responsible for organizing, facilitating, and delivering training programs for both new and existing employees. This role aims to enhance employee skills and knowledge related to company systems, procedures, and workflows, ensuring that training materials are up-to-date and effective. The trainer will also maintain training records and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain global knowledge of company systems as they relate to procedures and workflow.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure they reflect operational updates and change.
  • Assist training manager to coordinate and train associates on systems, processes and procedures.
  • Develop, edit and maintain additional learning materials such as manuals, presentations, guides, handouts, videos, e-Learning, job aids, etc. as necessary.
  • Maintain employee training records.
  • Evaluate and modify existing or proposed programs; suggest and implement suitable changes.
  • Perform other related duties, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in teaching, communication or a related field required.
  • 2 or more years relevant professional level experience in a training environment.
  • Proven experience effectively communicating in a clear and concise method to groups of employees, public speaking, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Prior experience in the luxury, interior design, lighting or home furnishing industries a plus.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must exhibit proficient computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • High degree of competence with POS systems, experience with D365 a plus.
  • Superior written and verbal communicator.
  • Ability to effectively present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong relationship building and management skills, excellent customer service skills.
  • Self-starter who works with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an ongoing commitment to achieving high-quality results.
  • Superior organization, planning skills, time management and prioritization with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a dynamic, team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as business needs may sometimes dictate.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as business needs require.
